Edythe Marie Gandy

On the day of 3/28/2022, year of our Lord, escorted by angels through the pearly gates of Zion was: Missionary Edythe Marie Gandy. Having had a true relationship with Christ Jesus in 1983 that changed her life. The daughter of Regal and Mabel Gandy of: Eutaw, Alabama. Missionary Gandy was born in Marshalltown, IA in 1938. Her three deceased siblings were: Francis Gandy of Oklahoma, Iver Jean Bailey of: Marshalltown, IA and Mary Hayes of Des Moines, IA. Her three living children are: Jeffrey D. Slade of Renton, WA, Judith Gandy Smith of Minn. MN, and Bishop Stephen R. Gandy of: Renton, WA. The grandchildren of: Missionary Gandy are: Dr. Anne E. Mauro of Kent, WA, Ricci Smith and Calvin Smith of Minn., MN. There also is a great-grand daughter Vivianna Rain Dimmint of Kent, WA. Employed as a nursing assistant at Harbor View Hospital and other Hospitals, worked for Group Health Cooperative a a social worker, the Boeing Aircraft Company where she retired. Later owning a Christian Entertainment Production Company called: Mustard Seed, and a Personal Clothes Shopping Service and Dress Shop. She also served on the Human Rights Commission for the city of Renton, WA. Also on the Board of Directors of several Women Christian Fellowships: Women Aglow in South King County, WA, and the Seattle Central Area Chapter. Serving on the Boards of several Chapters of Warriors for Christ in the Seattle/Tacoma area. The final resting place for Missionary Gandy will be: Mt. Olivet Cemetery. One day: with all her numerous cousins and, relatives from all over the world to rejoin her in heaven one day.
