Diane Barbara Plano passed peacefully on the morning of March 28th of 2019 surrounded by the wonderful staff at The Weatherly Inn Dementia and Alzheimer's Unit in Kent, WA. She was born on September 15th of 1934. Diane was a longtime resident of Renton, WA on Cedar Street, now Cedar Avenue South, on Old Renton Hill. She loved music and dancing and singing to big band music, and pop music from the late'40's to mid '50's. She was a wonderful singer and sang occasionally at local clubs. She also was a great cook and recipe collector. She is survived by her son Michael Lack, who she loved very much and her daughter in law, Chumnead Hong of Sequim, WA. She has four grandchildren and many great grandchildren. The family would like to give much thanks and love to her school friends from Renton High School. In particular, Maxine King (Wagner), Marvia Ritchie (Custer), and her best friend Carolyn Orvella (Calhoun) for being close to her during her nursing home stay and helping to take care of her and spending much time with her. There will be a Celebration of Life Party at a to be determined time and place. Her ashes will be placed with her mother and father and grandparents at Mt. Olivet cemetery in Renton, WA. A longtime animal lover, in lieu of flowers, the family requests that any remembrances be donated to the ASPCA.
