Dawn Lindsey Obituary

The world lost a bright beacon of light on Sunday April 18, 2021 when Dawn Lindsey made her way to
the heavenly gates and earned her wings.

Born on December 22, 1963 to William Brady and Lynne Roberson in San Diego California at Grossmont
Hospital, Dawn grew up in the face of adversity. She began motherhood at the unlikely age of 15, when
she gave birth to her son James. Although the odds were against her, she managed to flourish and
persevere. She met her first true love at the age of 18 and gave birth to her second child, Tori, at the age
of 21.

Dawn loved her children and deeply cherished her time with them. She raised them both to be
incredibly strong souls, filled with her love. They strive to continue her legacy, passing her love, light,
and passion for life onto her 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

As her name has always implied, Dawn has been the sunlight over the horizon at the beginning of each
and every day. She gave purpose to the lives of all who knew her. Always ready with an ear and sound
spiritual advice, she led those who were closest to her to feel comfort in their times of need. Although
this did not always come easy to her, she triumphantly beat alcoholism and continued on to save lives,
simultaneously pulling many others into sobriety along beside her. Dawn was the truest form of purity
and all that is good. There is no possible way to encompass all that she was and any efforts will always
fall short. She was everything.

Dawn’s voice was that of an angel. Its purity and passion radiated throughout all who had the privilege of
hearing it. It was her passion, her purpose, and her soul’s fire. She surrounded herself with like-minded
musical influences that allowed her music to flourish. Singing in inspiration bands such as her original
masterpiece TerraNova, and others such as Shine, Zeppland, Lynette Shebyrd, METALABBA, Whiskey
Creek and many, many more. We know that Heaven has one hell of a rock show now, with Dawn and her
close friend, Doug Samm, center stage.

Dawn was a mother, a sister, a grandmother, a cousin, a confidant, a friend, a safe space, a spiritual
goddess, a believer, an optimist, and one of the most profoundly influential souls ever known.
She is survived by her son, James Brady; daughter, Tori Lindsey; sisters Robin and Kelly; cousin Terri
Seltzer; grandchildren, Issac, Jay, Brandon, Nathan, Austin, Adrian, Marissa, Kylie, Zander, and Mikenzie;
great-grandchildren Charlotte and Jameson; and countless friends and former bandmates. All of these
she loved immensely.

Plans for a Celebration of Life will be shared at a later date for Seattle area. There will be a celebration of
life for her in California on May 23rd at the Gaslamp in Longbeach (RSVP attendance only).
