Corinne Elizabeth Goebel

Corinne Elizabeth Goebel, 98, of Burien, Washington, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side.

Corinne was born in Seattle, Washington, to Jack Stimson and Doris Curtis on June 20, 1926. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1944 where she excelled academically and participated in many sports.

Corinne worked in the Manufacturing Division at The Boeing Company in Renton, Washington, for 40 years. She was also a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church for over 50 years.

Corinne enjoyed dancing, which was how she met her beloved husband, Donald Goebel. They married in 1950 and had four children: Dale, Michael, Linda, and Nancy.

Corinne also enjoyed gardening, cooking, bowling, traveling, and celebrating holidays with family. She was an avid sports fan and loved watching all Seattle sports teams.

Corinne was a loving, devoted, and selfless wife and mother who provided a wonderful home for her family. Her husband and children were the most important people in her life. She always worked hard, took pleasure in caring for others, and cherished spending time with her family. To be loved by her was a true gift. We will miss her generous heart, amazing smile, and most importantly, her unconditional love. We will always be blessed and grateful for the many beautiful memories we shared throughout the years.

Corinne is survived by her son Michael Goebel; daughter Linda Christensen (William); daughter Nancy Fehr (Mark); four grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, her son, Dale, and two grandchildren. They are now all united in heaven.

A mass and celebration of her life will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 15226 21st Avenue SW, Burien, Washington on Friday, September 13, 2024, at 11:00 am with Father Natch Ohno, S.J. officiating.
