Be Le Obituary

To Our Beloved Dad,

Everyone who knows you, admires and says that you always prioritize your family and we all feel it from the depths of our hearts. From the way how you would cram 7+ kids into one small vehicle to go hiking or trick-o-treating (before it was illegal), to those constant phone calls to check in on us from work and to the “tổ cha mi” you will lovingly spew once in a while. To the way how you always cook our food so mom doesn’t have to and reminding us that no matter what we do and where we are in life, make sure to come over often to mom and dad’s house. You always love spending time with your family. I will always have a picture of you in my heart, sitting there smiling widely and brightly amidst the chaos of your grandchildren as they cry, scream, laugh, stomp and destroy your house every single week. My Daddy thrives in that chaos. You always say that a “happy home is where you hear children scream, laugh, and cry.” We all happily agree with you. Witnessing lung cancer affect your health was incredibly heartbreaking, but it can never erase your immense love for your family. Daddy, you were so brave in tackling that debilitating disease and we are beyond proud of you and your fighting spirit. Even on your last days, your smiles radiated joy and happiness when you see your family gathered together beside your hospital bed and your grandchildren stormed through that room like a hurricane. Even on your last breath you were surrounded by those that meant the world to you. We love you more than words can describe daddy. We were not ready to say goodbye physically but knowing that you are released of your earthly pains brings us comfort and relief. Your departure will forever carve a permanent ache in our hearts and we will carry your words to always love, care and put our family first. Rest well and rest peacefully now that you are no longer at the clutch of pain that the disease brought. Make sure you tip that boatman. Mommy remembered amidst her tears as you slipped away to give you lots of loose bills as you requested. We love and miss you so much. Until we meet again Daddy.
